Battle School? Why’d It Have to Be Battle School?

Somehow, I had absolutely zero information about Harrison Ford being cast as Colonel Graff in the upcoming “Ender’s Game” movie.

My interest in this just increased by about a bazillion percent. Here’s the pic courtesy of EW:

  1. yeah…I dunno. The kid from Hugo playing Ender is a casting move I love. And, Graff is gruff, to say the least, so I can see Ford mumbling his way through it. The problem is that Ford hasn’t been actively engaged in a project since…? “What Lies Beneath” (2000)? That’s the last movie where it seemed he gave a damn, And even that is a stretch. Before that you’d have to go to “Air Force One” (1997) or “Clear and Present Danger” (1994). (which, on a side note, has that ridiculous scene of him disengaging a helicopter (or something, my memory there is rusty) with a piece of wood while sneaking around wearing a Member’s Only jacket).

He could make a great Graff – if he actually shows up.
